Elays Development Network is a BME-led organisation committed to enable Bristol city residents benefit from living in a diverse community.
Elays provides cultural training and consultancy to service providers and voluntary and community organisations that work with and for the Somali community to enable them conduct business in a way that respects cultural and religious sensitivity.
We provide opportunities for people to develop cultural/intercultural competency, but we also aim to improve the quality of life of the Somali community through capacity building (empowerment) for groups/organisations and community members, training and life-long learning opportunities, and partnership working.
In addition, we carry out development work including work which aims to promote integration and social cohesion and to address exclusion, assumptions and inter-racial tensions.
